Watchlist for 11/03/15

I might have gotten very quick at choosing 10-15 stocks from my filter scan, but I must get quicker at the research side.

Geron Corporation (GERN)

Long: Weak Open, Higher Low + R/G

Short: Gap Up Parabolic, Risk off $4.50 over and under.

Story: Reported an Earnings Loss on the third last week, the year/year loss is lower though.

Thoughts: This news is a week old now, so I feel it's almost 100% price action and technical play now.

Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN)

Long: Weak Open, Consolidate, Higher Low + R/G

Short: Parabolic through $45.. Risking off $48... I'm thinking the best way to do it is start with 100 shares after $47.30+, add 100 shares after $47.45+, And add 200 shares at $47.74. Your average should be above $47.60 by that stage if all is executed correctly.. You're goal would be $46.50, and your exit would be $48. So you'd have a 3 to 1 risk reward.

Story: Reported a profit yesterday but also beat estimates, which I guess it's really all about.

Thoughts: I think it would be healthy for it to consolidate for a bit around $43-$44.. But if did break $45, I'd be looking for a Parabolic towards $50. I really think $47-48 is more likely to be the Parabolic top area but I don't know really.

CorMedix, Inc. (CRMD)

Long: Buy any higher low.

Short: Late Day Fade if anything.

Story: Has Earnings on Friday March 13th. Issued 200,000 Warrants to Elliot at an exercise price of $7 on March 4th, close on the 3rd March $5.50.

Thoughts: Buying any higher low seems to be a good strategy with this one. But the chart is still a bit overextended in my opinion... Still has long side potential though.

Horizon Pharma plc (HZNP)

Long: Look for higher lows near whole and half dollar marks.

Short: Any 50c parabolic move, risk off whole and half dollar marks, entry order 4-5c below the risk. The Parabolics seem to fall back to the previous whole or half dollar mark.

Story: Plans to use $350M from Offering to fund future acquisitions or investments in businesses or products. Released pre-clinical data showing improved signs disease severity of Rare Bone Disease.

Thoughts: I still feel this can keep going but it's quite a choppy stock. Seems to look alright for shorting if you only wait for parabolic action and risk off whole and half dollar marks, keeping your total size small and your average within 5-10c of the whole and half dollar mark. Parabolic being a 50c+ spike.

Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NWBO)

Long: Buy higher lows and have good risk reward.

Story: They have 2 products in clinical trials but that wouldn't be news...

Thoughts: Just Watch Price Action. Dips are getting bought up.. Just buy higher lows and have good risk reward.

2U, Inc. (TWOU)

Long: Weak Open, Higher Low + Red/Green

Story: They're partnering with Yale University to allow aspiring physician assistants the opportunity to earn a Yale Degree online.

Thoughts: The news might have just given the stock that little push it needed to breakout. The real move started just before 3PM when it broke $18.50 and hit a high of $19.40 within the hour. It might continue up towards $20. All time high is at $20.57. Could Parabolic through $20, Risk off $25 but I'd say $23 sounds a bit more realistic. I don't think I have the experience to speculate where your risk should be.

SUPERVALU Inc. (SVU)

Long: Only look for gearing and perking,

Story: They got upgraded by Deutsche Bank from a HOLD to a Buy.

Thoughts: Broke out from $10.50. I don't think there will be much of a play with this one.

Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. (CYTX)
It's a bit too choppy intraday for me to figure a plan.

Story: The FDA is allowing them to expand their trial from 12 to 20 centers in the US.. News is from February 26th.

Thoughts: This news may be good for the company but I feel the chart is looking overextended. It has consolidated the past week though and started to breakout of it yesterday.
